MM Jam of the Week: Pony

There are some songs that absolutely inspire us to strive to be the best or rise to greatness…And then there are other songs that are so ridiculous that they are hilarious. So this week’s MM Jam of the Week is one of my favorite ridiculous songs, Ginuwine’s “Pony”.  I was reminded of this song because there was an awesome drummer playing in the subway station and he did a remix of this song. And right when I heard the song, I knew I had to miss my train to see what was going on. The lyrics are hilarious and so is the background noise that sounds similar to burping. This song always makes me laugh…hopefully it will bring some laughter and/or silly memories into your week. Check out the ridiculous video too. ha =)

MM Jam of the Week: Tings Tings “the drums…the drums…”

This week’s MM Jam of the Week is the Tings Tings once again! If you can recall, the Ting Tings’ song “That’s Not My Name” was a MM Jam of the week a few months ago. The reason to bring back the Ting Tings again is because I was fortunate enough to see them perform live at Webster Hall in New York last week. They were so awesome live and incredible for only having two people on stage. The Ting Tings is Jules de Martino and Katie White from England and both are extremely talented at playing multiple instruments and providing the vocals within each song. At one point, I saw Jules play the drums, guitar, tamborine, sing and use a turn table all within one song. The Ting Tings were able to entertain the crowd and get them dancing while singing along. What made me love the Ting Tings even more was that Katie was wearing a KidRobot Dunny hat! I love Dunnys! Here’s “Great DJ” by The Ting Tings for your MM Jam of the Week and some photos from the show!

Okay I’M BACK! MM Jam of the Week!

Alright everyone, I apologize profusely for my absence and lack of jams and posts. I am back now and will be bringing a bit of a different twist to the Melinda Mae Handbags blog.  For starters, I have relocated to New York City so I will be sharing many of my NY adventures with all of you, which you can be sure will include lots of food, fashion and fun! For this week’s MM Jam of the Week, I am sharing one of the songs that gets me pumped up and inspired. Hopefully it does the same for you…it’s Snow Patrol’s “Called Out in the Dark”.

Let’s start this up again!
