Asian Heritage Street Celebration 5/21

It’s that time again…the Asian Heritage Street Celebration (AHSC) is here! On Saturday, May 21st, the AHSC will be taking place on Larkin Street from Grove to Ellis in San Francisco. This will be my 3rd year participating and I am very excited for all that is lined up at the 7th Annual AHSC.

Food Trucks! There will be over 30 food vendors at the celebration including popular favorites, Senor Sisig, Chairman Bao and Curry Up Now. There will also be booths from Osha Thai, Traveling Takoyaki, Happy Dumplings and much more. And if you’re looking for desserts (like I always am), you’ll find Kara’s Cupcakes, Sweet Tooth, The Killer Baking Company and much more. Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to sneak away from my booth to try some of this deliciousness. But if not, please do stop by the Melinda Mae Handbag booth so I can at least see all the goodies. mmmmmm….

And once again, there will be a Balut Eating Contest! If you are interested in competing, please email your name, age and contact information to intern@awfoundation.org.  The winners will receive a $50 cash prize and ultimate bragging rights!

There will also be martial arts demonstrations, a Healthy Living Pavilion, Children’s Area, Jazz and Wine Tasting and an Arts and Crafts Alley (where you’ll find the Melinda Mae Handbag Booth)!  Don’t forget to check out the asian artists that will be performing including some famous Bay Area DJs!

Hope to see you at the AHSC! The Celebration is FREE and is scheduled from 11am – 6pm. For more info, please go to http://www.asianfairsf.com

One more week to prep! =)
